Why Yunnan Coffee? Yunnan is one of the world’s oldest coffee-growing regions, yet for many American drinkers, it remains unfamiliar. Coffee has been grown in Yunnan for over a century. The region’s high elevations, diverse microclimates, and small-scale farms create a wide range of flavor expressions that don’t fit neatly into a single category. Some cups feel familiar. Others don’t.And that’s exactly why we think Yunnan coffee deserves to be experienced, not explained. Not a trend. Not a statement. Yunnan coffee is often discussed in extremes — either overlooked entirely...

When people talk about “good coffee,” they often think about beans, roast level, or brewing tools. But one of the most important factors is something much smaller — grind size. The size of each coffee particle affects how quickly flavors extract and how your final cup tastes. Why Grind Size Matters Hot water pulls flavor out of coffee grounds. If the grounds are too fine, water extracts too much flavor too quickly — the coffee becomes bitter. If the grounds are too coarse, water passes through too fast — the coffee tastes...

The origin of coffee is wrapped in a timeless, unproven legend. In ancient Ethiopia, a shepherd noticed his goats had become unusually energetic—leaping and chasing each other across hillsides. COFFEE BREW CUIDES
Every cup of Yunnan coffee carries warmth and a promise to protect the Black-necked Crane’s home
This coffee is an absolute delight! The beans are clearly top-notch—rich, aromatic, and with a smooth, well-balanced flavor that lingers perfectly on the palate. You can tell the quality from the first sip.
The 100g size is perfect for experimenting. Tried two grind settings on Kalita Wave and found a sweet spot that brought out brown sugar + citrus. Really fun to dial in and compare.
V60 with a slightly cooler water temp (~93C) gave me a softer cup with a tea-like finish. Sweet, light floral, and super clean. This is the kind of coffee I can drink all afternoon.
I usually drink darker roasts, so this felt lighter-bodied, but still tasty. French press (coarse grind, 4 min) brought out more cocoa and mellow sweetness. Would recommend for people who like clean specialty profiles.
The sample arrived quickly and the bag looked premium. Beans smelled fresh when opened. I did a quick cupping and got honey, mild tropical fruit, and a clean finish. Great first impression.
